32 teams sign up for Inter IT Cricket C’ship

The tournament has total prize fund of Rs.1,12,000 which comprises winner’s prize cheque of Rs. 50,000, Runners-up Rs 30,000, Man-of-The-Series Rs.10,000 , ‘Best Batsman’ Rs 5,000 and ‘Best Bowler’ Rs 5,000.

Pune: As many as 32 leading IT companies from Pune will be seen in action at the 15th “Ankur Joglekar Memorial” Inter IT Cricket Championship Cup 2017-18 organised by “IDEAS A SAS COMPANY” and to be played on weekends at Poona Club, PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Vision Cricket Academy from December 2.

Defending champion Infosys and the last year’s runner-up Capgemini lead the 32-team field.

The tournament has total prize fund of Rs.1,12,000 which comprises winner’s prize cheque of Rs. 50,000, Runners-up Rs 30,000, Man-of-The-Series Rs.10,000 , ‘Best Batsman’ Rs 5,000 and ‘Best Bowler’ Rs 5,000.

There will be 8 pools of four teams each. The tournament will be played on League-cum-knockout basis.

This year the Ladies matches have been introduced with KPIT, Tech Mahindra, Siemens, IDeaS a SAS Company, Amdocs, Persistent, Infosys and Wipro fielding their ladies teams.

The ladies matches will be played on January 12, 13, 19 and 20 at the Vision Cricket Ground.

The teams: Wipro Technologies, Cybage, IDeaS a sas Company, Tieto, Sungard, Amdocs, Maersk, KPIT, SoftHard Automation, BMC Software, IBM, Synechron, Siemens, Yardi, Springer Nature, GOSSPL, Atos, Veritas, Persistent Systems, Talentica, Tata Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy, Cognizant, Synerzip, Ernst & Young, Citi, Master Card, Zensar Technologies and Globacom.
