RSS will study city traffic to solve recurring problems

He said, “We will take help of the PMC and traffic police. We will take guidance of experts and institutions. We will identify traffic congestion spots, reasons for traffic jams and suggest solutions so that agencies can solve traffic problems. We have already conducted a study of Nagar Road with the help of the PMC and traffic police.” 

Pune: RSS Pune Mahanagar wing will help the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune traffic police to solve traffic-related problems by conducting a study of different roads and areas of Pune city. More than 10 lakh RSS Swayamsevaks will take part in this study, which will be held between August 15 and 25.  

This was announced by RSS Mahanagar Sanghchalak Ravindra Wanjarwadkar declared at a press conference on Monday. Wanjarwadkar said, “On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, RSS has organised a social programme under the  traffic safety drive. We will communicate to 2 lakh households to conduct the survey. We will spread traffic awareness among the public. We will submit a traffic study to government agencies.”

Every year, RSS Pune Mahanagar conducts a drive on social problems. This year, we have focused on traffic safety.  In traffic safety drive, RSS swayamsevaks will conduct drawing competitions, essay competition and street play. We have appealed to all colleges, schools and other educational institutes to participate in the drive and they have given a positive response to our appeal, said Mahanagar Karyavah Mahesh Karpe.
