“The BJP was luring legislators of other political parties after promising them power,” he alleged.

PIMPRI: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar said that Shiv Sena, which is scared to speak on crop insurance in the State legislature, is staging a drama of morchas on this issue.

Addressing media persons before the party’s meeting here on Thursday, Pawar also alleged that the BJP was indulging in dethroning democratically-elected state governments in the country.

“The BJP was luring legislators of other political parties after promising them power,” he alleged.

Pawar said that talks were being held with the Congress and other like-minded parties to face the State Assembly polls unitedly. On the issue of seat sharing, Pawar said that the party which was runner up in the previous State elections will be allotted the assembly seat.

Pawar also launched a scathing attack on the functioning of the BJP in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Referring to the garbage situation, he alleged that the BJP had turned the Smart City into a ‘Waste City’.

Pawar also advocated holding the State polls with ballot papers.
