In an attempt to present yet another gripping story, Eros Now the premium OTT platform, on Wednesday announced a biopic on India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

In an attempt to present yet another gripping story, Eros Now the premium OTT platform, on Wednesday announced a biopic on India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The project will be produced by Benchmark Pictures, led by Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh. Titled Modi, the Eros Now original series will showcase the eventful life of Modi.

The 10-part original series on Eros Now directed by filmmaker Umesh Shukla will capture different phases of Modi’s life. The story begins with 12-year-old Narendra and traverses through his teenage, youth to becoming the Prime Minister of world’s largest democracy, India. Modi’s siblings, friends, neighbours and school teachers reminisce his fascinating journey of self-discovery.

Actors Faisal Khan, Ashish Sharma and Mahesh Thakur play his part to depict the different stages of his life. The original series is written by Mihir Bhuta and Radhika Anand.

Commenting on the announcement of the show, Ridhima Lulla, chief content officer, Eros Group said, “Eros has always believed in connecting with the masses and telling them the stories that matter. Umesh Shukla further adds, “Prime Minister Modi’s personality enthralls young and old alike. It was lovely to take on a project which came with a responsibility to narrate the life of the leader of new India.” 

Modi, the original series premieres in April 2019 on Eros Now. ST
